Oral & Poster Abstracts Submission

Call for Oral Abstract

Submission Deadline: Oct 11, 2019

ASPHP invites those interested in presenting at the 2020 ASPHP National SPHM Education Event to submit a proposal for an oral presentation. Speaker proposals will be evaluated objectively by our Oral Abstract Committee.

Proposals must contain and convey sufficient detail to allow the committee to understand how the proposed session will contribute to universal SPHM. Selection will be competitive; please submit a compelling and complete proposal.

Oral presentations will be 45-minutes in length with several running concurrently, and repeated at another time period on the same day. We encourage sessions that involve participants and create an engaging educational experience.

We welcome you to submit an oral abstract on the following topics:

  • Bariatrics
  • Injury Prevention
  • Legal Aspects
  • Mobility
  • Pediatrics
  • Program Development
  • Sustainability
  • Training, Competency and Education
  • Return on Investment
  • Data Analytics
  • Outcomes

Speakers' Consideration: Speakers will receive a $200 discount on the main event registration and one-night hotel stay on the day of their presentation. Travel and meal expenses are the responsibility of the speakers. There is a maximum of 3 presenters per presentation permitted.

2020 ASPHP National SPHM Education Event
Poster Abstract Submission Guidelines
Submission Deadline: November 11, 2019
Author Notification by December 11, 2019

ASPHP invites those interested in presenting a poster presentation at the 2020 ASPHP National SPHM Education Event to submit a proposal no later than November 11, 2019. Poster abstract submissions should align with sound and innovative safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) research and project. Topics that support SPHM directly or indirectly are encouraged.

Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference materials, and authors will receive a Certificate of Acknowledgment.

All authors will be advised via e-mail. At least one author will be required to register for the Event. Abstracts will be included in the Event handouts only if at least one author has paid registration to attend the conference no later than February 1, 2020.

Poster boards are 8ˈ x 4ˈ. The Poster Abstract Committee reserves the right to refuse any contribution that is not appropriate to the conference or not of sufficient scientific or technological merit. Abstracts that are promotional in nature, or advertising a specific company or product, will not be accepted.

Poster presenters will be invited to the Grand Opening Reception to share their research/projects with colleagues in a casual and interactive environment.
